More About Us...

We believe that every woman deserves to live a life free from fear, poverty, and discrimination and empowering women can have a positive impact on not just their own lives, but on the lives of their children, families, and communities as well. That’s why we are committed to investing significant effort and resources into improving women’s capacity for self-reliance and productivity.

We offer a range of programs and services designed to support women in their journey towards economic independence, including education, skills acquisition training, and microgrants for starting a business. We are especially focused on helping vulnerable groups such as widows, women struggling financially and unwed teen mothers, who often face abuse, maltreatment, and marginalization in many parts of the world.

We recognize that these women often face unique and complex challenges, including limited access to resources, social stigma, and discrimination. Through our programs and services, we aim to provide them with the tools they need to overcome these obstacles and achieve success.

At our core, we are driven by a deep commitment to social justice and equality. We believe that by supporting and empowering these women, we can help build stronger, more resilient communities both in Africa and America.

Below are some of the programs we offer at Lessen My Burden Foundation as a foremost NGO that’s ensuring the survival and thriving of vulnerable women and children in a harsh world. Please feel free to join and support any of these causes and programs as this would be much appreciated.

Mission: Our mission is to empower marginalized and underserved women and girls in Africa and America by providing educational, economic, and emotional resources. Through skill acquisition programs and microgrants, we help widows, unwed teenage girls, and survivors of domestic violence overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. Our vision is a world where all women and girls thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Vision: Our vision is a world where all women and girls, regardless of their background or circumstances, have the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. We envision a future where women and girls are empowered, economically independent, and free from violence and discrimination. Through our comprehensive support programs, including education, skill acquisition, microgrants, and advocacy, we strive to create lasting positive change and reduce the burden of marginalization for women and girls in Africa and America. Together, we envision a more inclusive, equitable, and empowered world for women and girls, contributing to a brighter future for generations to come.

We firmly believe that empowering women can have a positive impact on not just their own lives, but on the lives of their children, families, and communities as well.

Women, especially those who are uneducated and widowed, face unique challenges that prevent them from supporting themselves and their families against the harsh realities of life.

Our foundation offers educational scholarships and grants to help individuals cover the cost of tuition and other education-related expenses and training endeavours.

We are committed to empowering communities and promoting sustainable development through outreach programs to connect individuals with the resources they need.

Reducing hunger and malnutrition worldwide is a commitment we have taken on considering the over 800 million people currently undernourished globally.

Promoting random acts of kindness by sensitizing individuals to the burdens of others while believing that kindness increases the well-being of all parties involved.
